Corporate law is a branch of private law that applies to the corporation. It is part of the life of a business throughout its activities, from its creation to its dissolution and through any merger or share purchase transactions.
Civil law is a branch of private law that governs the relationship between people. Whether they are natural or legal persons, all are subject to these rules in their dealings with others.
In the province of Quebec, the rules are compiled in the form of a law and contained in the Civil Code of Quebec. These relationships are grouped into various branches.

Tax law is the branch of law covering all tax rules. Whether it is the taxation of individuals, corporations or the GST / QST. In Quebec, taxpayers are subject to provincial and federal rules.
Commercial law is a part of private law specific to businesses governing the practice of the profession of merchant and defining the legal regime applicable to the acts of commerce. Whether selling goods or providing services, depending on the type of agreement with customers and the type of clientele, the rules may differ.
REAL ESTATE AND CONSTRUCTION LAW
Real estate law is a generic term that includes rules related to immovables (land and buildings). Construction law, on the other hand, deals mainly with general contractors, professionals such as architects or subcontractors, from the conclusion of the contract to the completion of the work and the delivery of the latter.
